Keep cool this summer…SKATE AMES!
Summer is just around the corner and Ames Figure Skating Club is offering three great skating camps to provide opportunities for skaters to improve their skills. All on-ice classes will be taught by Ames Figure Skating Club coaches. All of our club coaches are registered with USFS, have at the minimum, a basic PSA coaching accreditation and are members of the Professional Skaters Association.
Beyond Basics Camp is for skaters 6 years and older that are working on Basic 4 through Basic 8 skills and desire a skating experience that goes beyond the Basic Skill classes offered through our Learn to Skate program. Skaters will work along side our competitive club skaters during on-ice and off-ice group classes developing power, strength, speed, edge quality and new skills. In addition to the integrated group classes, skaters will have daily semi-private/small group* lessons with a professional Ames Figure Skating Club coach. Camp includes 30 minutes of off-ice and 1 hour of on-ice instruction daily. *Private lesson option available.
