Junior Board Overview
The Ames Figure Skating Club Junior Board is a leadership opportunity for our young skaters to develop valuable skills both on and off the ice. The Junior Board plays a crucial role in fostering a sense of community, organizing fun social events, and representing the voice of our younger skaters within the club.
This board provides an excellent platform for skaters to enhance their teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities while contributing to the success and growth of the Ames Figure Skating Club. Through their involvement, members gain hands-on experience in event planning, decision-making, and promoting the sport they love.

The Junior Board is open to all skaters, ages 5-18!

- Making gifts for our Learn to Skate participants during the Holiday Gala and Spring Show
- Writing thank you notes to USFS officials who offer their time at our competitions and test sessions
- Creating initiatives to spread the love of figure skating to broader communities
- Volunteering at AFSC-events
- Offering feedback to the AFSC Board of Directors
Playing Hard
- Organizing social outings for the club. The Haunted Forest has been a long-time favorite visit in October!
