At the Ames Figure Skating Club, we believe in the magic of ice, the thrill of the glide, and the joy of movement. Whether you’re a novice taking your first steps on the ice or a seasoned skater aiming for your next big goal, our membership offers an exceptional experience for all ages and skill levels.
Becoming a member of AFSC enables a skater to participate in U.S Figure Skating events, including competitions and test sessions. Skaters can participate in all AFSC sponsored events, such as the annual Spring Show, Holiday Gala, and MORE! Members have access to purchase club ice. This ice time is designated for private lessons, small group lessons, and individual practice. Lastly, you will be able to share in the sport of figure skating with others and form lifelong friendships.

There are variety of memberships available for joining Ames Figure Skating Club. We're excited to have you!
All skaters under age 18—whether primary or associate members—must be part of a Family or Associate Family membership that includes at least one parent or legal guardian.
Membership in the Ames Figure Skating runs from July 1--June 30 and needs to be renewed annually. Memberships renewed after August 1 are subject to a $40 late fee.

Individual
Eligibility: Age 18+, not a coach Includes: 1 adult skater Cost: $90 Associate Individual
Eligibility: Age 18+, member of another USFS club, not a coach Includes: 1 adult skater Cost: $60 Professional
Eligibility: Coach, judge, or other USFS skating professional Includes: 1 professional member Cost: $75 Collegiate

First Year Family
Eligibility: Includes two family members who have never been members of USFS or AFSC before. Required for skaters under age 18 and must include at least one parent or legal guardian. Includes: 2 family members. Additional family members can be added under "Additional Family." Cost: $105 Family
