Ice Contracts for Club IceClub members have the option to contract ice with Ames Figure Skating Club several ways.
During the academic year, typically September to April, two contract types are offered:
During the summer, AFSC typically takes a break during May while the Ames/ISU Ice Arena does their yearly maintenance to the rink and then offer ice in June and July leading up to the Summer Iowa Games. However, summer ice will look a little different this summer than it has in past summers. The Ames/ISU Ice Arena will be undergoing extensive maintenance this summer and will be closing for the summer beginning June 26th with a potential reopening in early-to-mid August instead of closing in May for maintenance like normal. This means that we are able to offer some limited ice in May and June. Please see the following for details.

Skate Squad Help Needed!
If your skater is age 10 and up, we encourage them to help with our Learn to Skate classes. This is a perfect opportunity for them to give back to the sport, help future skaters love the sport, and start to learn what it means to be a coach. If you're interested in joining skate squad, please contact our LTS Directors.
